MY STORY

IMG-1253_edited.jpg

Sam Koon is a country recording artist based in a small town just outside of Atlanta, GA.  His music often blurs the lines of country, soul, and blues—a nod to the legends of his southern roots.  The combination of his undeniable powerhouse vocals and poignant songwriting has drawn crowds all over the southeast, where he has shared the stage opening for bands like Montgomery Gentry, Cadillac Three, and 38 Special.  He also was chosen as the resident artist to play in the VIP area for Lakewood Amphitheater, where he was the pre-show artist playing for The Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, Dave Matthews Band, and Journey.

Sam has been described by the world-renowned vocal coach, Jan Smith (vocal coach to Usher, Beiber, and Rob Thomas) as “a rustic [singer] with blazing original songs that can punch you in the heart and slap the truth straight upside your head. With a southern sensitivity, but a man's man approach, Sam is a unique blend of tough and tender.”  Dionne Osborne, vocal coach to Drake, further describes Sam as, “simply one of the best vocalists I’ve ever worked with...hands down. His vocal swagger and honesty speaks to any fan looking for music they can both relate to and rock even harder. Sam’s radio-ready songs with their viral vocal & guitar hooks complete the picture that is today’s hot new act. America, count me as fan of this guy’s pipes and the songs that he truly owns!”
